Expansion of ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System) Certification

Compass Group Japan announces that the registration scope of its certified sites under ISO 22000:2018 (hereinafter, ISO 22000), the international standard for food safety management systems, has been expanded. As of February 24, 2026, the total number of certified sites is 26.

ISO 22000 is an international standard that systematically manages food safety risks across all processes, from food procurement through cooking and serving, in order to realize the provision of safe and reliable meals. Our company obtained the certification in December 2023, and regardless of certification status, we operate all approximately 1,500 sites entrusted to us based on common standards.

This expansion of the registration scope is a result of the evaluation of the food safety initiatives that our company has steadily accumulated at each site. Rather than limiting ISO 22000 to mere certification acquisition, we utilize it as a framework to reliably implement food safety in daily on-site operations and to continuously accumulate improvements. Going forward, we will continue to expand the number of certified sites, while also deploying the ISO 22000 framework company-wide, promoting the standardization of food management and continuous improvement of its level.

Compass Group Japan will continue to position “safety, security, and stability” as the foundation of all business activities, and through continuous evolution, aim to provide services that continue to be chosen by our customers.
