Compass Group Sustainability Report 2024 – Now Available in Japanese

At Compass Group, we aim for a sustainable future that goes beyond simply “oishii”(delicious).
Our 2024 Sustainability Report highlights our focused efforts to reduce food waste, improve supply chain transparency, and promote inclusive environments and employee well-being. The report also focuses on activities in Japan, where Asuka Kobayashi, who promotes the Coffeeloop project to upcycle discarded coffee grounds into reusable cups, is featured as a “Planet Promise Changer”.

2024 Japan Sustainability Activity Highlights

In addition to the Sustainability Report, the following initiatives are introduced as highlights of our activities in Japan in 2024.

– Expansion of Lean Pass introduction
In order to implement food loss reduction more effectively, we expanded the number of stores introducing LeanPath, a food loss reduction tracker, to 81 stores. LeanPath quantifies environmental impacts such as CO2 reduction and water conservation, and promotes improvement measures based on the data.

– Compass Group Foundation provides the first grant in Japan
The Compass Group Foundation, a charitable organization established by the Compass Group in 2023, has made its first grant to Florence, a certified non-profit organization, in Japan. Over an 18-month period, the Foundation is supporting activities to increase the number of childcare facilities and providers of care for children with medical care throughout Japan.

We invite you to explore the meaningful steps we’re taking toward a more sustainable future for all—for both people and the planet.
