The report also focuses on activities in Japan, where Asuka Kobayashi, who promotes the Coffeeloop project to upcycle discarded coffee grounds into reusable cups, is featured as a \u201cPlanet Promise Changer&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>2024 Japan Sustainability Activity Highlights<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the Sustainability Report, the following initiatives are introduced as highlights of our activities in Japan in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Expansion of Lean Pass introduction<\/strong><br \/>\nIn order to implement food loss reduction more effectively, we expanded the number of stores introducing LeanPath, a food loss reduction tracker, to 81 stores. LeanPath quantifies environmental impacts such as CO2 reduction and water conservation, and promotes improvement measures based on the data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Compass Group Foundation provides the first grant in Japan<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Compass Group Foundation, a charitable organization established by the Compass Group in 2023, has made its first grant to Florence, a certified non-profit organization, in Japan.
